DocPresenter vs Synthesia
Synthesia is excellent at turning scripts into videos. We do the opposite job: you already have the deck or document, and the script is the part you do not want to write. Here is where the two actually differ.
20 free credits on signup — a 2-page preview of a real deck.
The same 40-minute video, side by side
DocPresenter

Synthesia

Where the two differ
When to pick which
Pick this if…
- Your content already exists as decks, reports or manuals
- Nobody wants to write, or re-write, the narration script
- Videos run long — a 40-page deck is 80 minutes, one file
- You want the option to self-host the pipeline
Pick Synthesia if…
- You make videos from scratch and want templates and brand kits
- You need their presenter library and 140+ languages
- Videos are short marketing pieces, not walkthroughs of a document
- Collaborative editing inside a video studio matters
Questions people compare on
The things worth asking before choosing either one.
No — the output is cheaper per minute, but the products are shaped around different inputs. Synthesia is a general video creation platform: templates, a large presenter library, brand kits, collaboration. Ours is built around one job: you already have a deck or document, and you want a narrated video of it without writing a script or re-recording anything. If you want to make videos in general, Synthesia is the better tool; if you want your existing decks explained, ours is.
Rendering a 20-page deck here costs about $1.44 on the yearly plan (10 credits per page). At Synthesia's published rate that length works out to roughly $51 — and their per-video limit of 3 minutes means splitting it into 14 separate renders. Prices were checked 2026-10-27 against their public pricing page; verify there before deciding.
Plenty. Their presenter library is much larger and more polished, they support 140+ languages with strong translation workflows, and their editor is a real multi-scene video tool with templates and brand control. Teams making regular marketing or enablement videos from scratch get a lot out of that. The gap that matters here is the input: none of that helps when your content already exists as a 30-page PDF report and nobody wants to script it.
Both render slides as page images, so tables, charts and multi-column layouts survive in each. The difference is what sits on top: here the narration is generated per page and reviewed by you before rendering; in Synthesia you author the script and scenes yourself in their editor.
Yes — signup includes 20 free credits, which is a 2-page preview of a deck you already have. No template required, no script to write: upload, read the generated narration, decide.
